Lotus Path: Bringing Caring and Understanding into Everyday Living
A fundamental knowing is available; that is what we need to embody.
This six-week course introducing the Lotus Trilogy presents body, language and mind—three seemingly ordinary aspects of being human —as dynamic gateways to a new and richly satisfying way of being. Each week, we cultivate untapped aspects of these three vehicles and open their potential for our growth and insight. No matter what our outward circumstances, our daily lives can be joyful, and we can connect to the wisdom of our inner being.
The method we use is unique at Dharma College; we call it 'radical inquiry'. Together, we explore questions about our own nature: when we say "I am here," for example, do we know where we are? What's the relationship between space and body? What makes 'my' mind mine? As we explore body, language and mind through body, we taste the possibility of freedom from the conditioning that keeps our lives small and our eyes narrow. Walking the Lotus Path, we can transform what we have, what we are, and what we can know.
If you would love to explore your own potential—with an open mind and questing heart, please join us for this introductory course, open to all. All you need you already have: your body, language and mind.
Suitable for participants at Dharma College programs, this free course introduces the path of Caring and Understanding that underlies all of Dharma College programs. Running for an hour on Thursday evenings (week off during Thanksgiving break), experienced instructors Dr. Richard Kingsland and Dr. Bob Dozor will lead the group in a series of explanations, meditation, and exercises.
